Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for selecting and installing packing for valves, pumps and other machinery, and for removing, rebuilding and installing mechanical seals. This program focuses on removing conventional valve packing, installing valve packing, removing chevron packing and using preformed graphite ring packing.
Course 2 – Packing and Seals – Part 2
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for selecting and installing packing for valves, pumps and other machinery, and for removing, rebuilding and installing mechanical seals. This program focuses on fabricating graphite ring packing, removing and installing pump packing, removing, disassembling, and inspecting a mechanical seal and types of mechanical seals
Course 3 – Centrifugal Pumps – Part 1
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of centrifugal pumps. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1 – Rigging and Lifting, Module 2 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment, Module 3 – Packing and Seals and Module 4 – Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalents.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the overhaul procedures for horizontal, split-casing centrifugal pumps. This program shows how workmen disassemble, repair as necessary and reassemble a typical two-stage pump and also focuses on pump description, general pump maintenance, disassembling and inspecting the casing and disassembling the rotor.
Course 4 – Centrifugal Pumps – Part 2
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of centrifugal pumps. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1 – Rigging and Lifting, Module 2 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment, Module 3 – Packing and Seals and Module 4 – Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalents.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the overhaul procedures for horizontal, split-casing centrifugal pumps. This program shows how workmen disassemble, repair as necessary and reassemble a typical two-stage pump and also focuses on measuring packing sleeves, measuring impellers and wearing rings, inspecting seal and bearing parts and measuring bearing oil clearance.
Course 5 – Centrifugal Pumps – Part 3
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of centrifugal pumps. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1 – Rigging and Lifting, Module 2 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment, Module 3 – Packing and Seals and Module 4 – Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalents.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of several valves. This program shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on the various valves and focuses on assembling the rotor, installing the rotor, measuring sleeve bearing oil clearance
and assembling the bearings.
Course 6 – Centrifugal Pumps – Part 4
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and nomenclature of centrifugal pumps. It is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 1 – Rigging and Lifting, Module 2 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment, Module 3 – Packing and Seals and Module 4 – Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalents.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the overhaul procedures for horizontal, split-casing centrifugal pumps. This program shows how workmen disassemble, repair as necessary and reassemble a typical two-stage pump and also focuses on assembling the casing, tightening casing studs and/or bolts, installing packing and test operating the pump.
Course 7 – Specialized Centrifugal Pumps
Prerequisites: This program is designed for students that are familiar with the operation, basic construction and nomenclature of centrifugal pumps. It is recommended that persons taking this course have received some training in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments. It is also recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 3 – Packing and Seals and Module 4 -Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalent.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for disassembling, inspecting and reassembling an end suction pump and setting the running impeller clearance of a vertical centrifugal pump.
Course 8 – Air Compressors and Blowers – Part 1
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and operation of reciprocating and rotary compressors. It is recommended that persons have successfully completed: Module 1, Rigging and Lifting, Module 2, Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment and Module 3, Packing and Seals, or their equivalents.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers procedures for disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of reciprocating and rotary air compressors. This program shows how typical maintenance operations are performed on these two types of machines and also focuses on reciprocating air compressor discharge valve removal and disassembly, seat cleaning, inspection and lapping, reinstallation, suction valve unloader removal and disassembly and unloader testing.
Course 9 – Air Compressors and Blowers – Part 2
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the basic construction and operation of reciprocating and rotary compressors.
