Course 1 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings and Alignment – Part 1
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for aligning couplings, maintaining belt drive systems, maintaining chain drive systems and both routine and overhaul maintenance of gear-type speed reducers or increasers. This program shows the various maintenance activities being performed on actual plant equipment.
Course 2 – Mechanical Drives, Couplings and Alignment – Part 2
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the procedures for aligning couplings, maintaining belt drive systems, maintaining chain drive systems and both routine and overhaul maintenance of gear-type speed reducers or increasers. Course 3 – Vibration Analysis
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons that have had training in the nomenclature and uses of basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments. In addition, it is recommended that persons should have successfully completed: Module 2 — Mechanical Drives, Couplings, and Alignment, and Module 4 -Bearings and Lubrication, or their equivalent.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the uses of vibration measuring equipment and includes an introduction to the hand-held vibration meter, introduction to the vibration analyzer, taking filtered readings and taking a signature balancing.
Course 4 – Advanced Alignment
Prerequisites: This program is designed for persons who are familiar with basic hand tools, measuring instruments and mechanical drives, couplings and alignment.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers alignment procedures performed after rough alignment of equipment has been done. The alignment procedure is explained and demonstrated on installed equipment and this program also focuses on taking alignment readings and calculating misalignment corrections.
Course 5 – Gear Boxes – Part 1
Prerequisites: This program is designed both for persons with some experience maintaining gear boxes and for those with little experience. The person should be familiar with safe work practices, the proper use of tools and precision instruments, safe rigging procedures, a variety of types of drive systems and couplings, basic seal and packing methods, routine shop practices and safety methods and all aspects of bearing removal, cleaning and installation.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the installation, testing and maintenance of gear boxes and also focuses on installing bearings and oil seals, checking backlash and tooth content and gear designs.
Course 6 – Gear Boxes – Part 2
Prerequisites: This program is designed both for persons with some experience maintaining gear boxes and for those with little experience. The person should be familiar with safe work practices, the proper use of tools and precision instruments, safe rigging procedures, a variety of types of drive systems and couplings, basic seal and packing methods, routine shop practices and safety methods and all aspects of bearing removal, cleaning and installation.
Description: This comprehensive DVD training program covers the installation, testing and maintenance of gear boxes and also focuses on removing and installing oil seals, wormgear design and gear box maintenance guidelines.
